No Music for Rob?

Tons of Twilight and Rob Pattinson fans go crazy every time he hums a tune, so there is going to be a lot of disappointment when people here Rob’s latest announcement, he does not plan on contributing any music to the New Moon Soundtrack. Why? Because he wants to keep his music and acting separate, in fact the Twilight star is considering giving up professional music for good.
He did however contribute to the How to Be Movie Soundtrack. Also he said he may consider recording his own album at home and distributing it independently so who knows?
So Twilighters, how do you feel about this? Is it no big deal or is you Rob world crashing around you?

i think roberts smart in not releasing songs whilst his career is blowing up with twilight madness. His songs seem personal and really meaningful. it would be terrible for someone who writes songs from the heart and for nothing but satisfaction of music, to have people buy his music because they think its edward cullen singing it. that, would be a joke.
if he releases it independently, it wont be because of twilight and the fame its created for him. plus the people buying it, i wonder if they will really appreciate his songs for what they are, or because they think his hot.
music i think is so different to movies. music shouldn’t be about fame. although i am sure they both go hand in hand. i just think it would be a crying shame if robert gets pigeonholed in his acting cause of twilight.. he shouldn’t release his music until people stop “defining” him as edward cullen or a teen actor.

its better to do something properly than just release some shit cause his riding the fame wave.
he has talent and he should show his talent wisely!.

That is a great point Mali. I mean it would be really hard to be serious about his music as Rob if everyone has him stuck as Edward. I hope for his sake that the wonderful success of Twilight will give him the courage to do music instead of fear for his life lol.
