Dakota Fanning has always been one of America’s favorite child stars and she is doing a great job of moving up and establishing herself as an actress. Of course her role as Jane from New Moon was definitely a good career move for her because now Twilight Fans can’t get enough of her. She did an interview on Ellen that I thought was fabulous. Check it out!

Breaking Dawn Controversy

January 27, 2010 by Jessica

The people at Summit Entertainment certainly know how to torture us, give us little to no information about filming for Breaking Dawn! Breaking is the final book in the Twilight Saga and it just so happens to be the book where all of our burning questions get answered, so of course we are anxiously awaiting any information about the filming of the movie. However Summit has been very vague on Twilight details, in fact even the details that they are giving us is on shaky ground.

A couple weeks ago rumors were swirling that author Stephenie Meyer was the hold-up for the movie because she couldn’t decide if making two movies was a good idea. E! Online is spreading this story:

It seems that series mastermind Stephenie Meyer and Summit have slightly different agendas on that one…

“Stephenie is calling the shots,” our mole tells us, “and she still can’t decide whether or not [making
two movies] is the right thing to do creatively.”

“Both sides have very different agendas,” ‘fesses our insider.

See, here’s the breakdown…

Stephenie doesn’t need the money, so what does she care? It’s double the work to split this film up.

However Stephenie Meyer was quick to put a lid on this rumor by posting this message on her own site:

Just a quick note on the subject of the Breaking Dawn film: there is no drama over whether the book should be one movie or two. My personal feeling is that it would be very difficult to cram the whole story into one movie (as I’ve said in many interviews previous to this), but if a great way of doing that surfaces, I’m all for it. Two or one, whichever way fits the story best is fine by me, and everyone I’ve spoken with at Summit seems to feel the same way. We’re all excited to move forward on this, and we are slowly and surely getting there. I know people are anxious for news, and so sometimes gossip gets fabricated to stir things up, but there’s no basis to this particular story.

I don’t know about you but I think I would believe Stephenie on this one because just like she said, people are so anxious for any news that rumors are swirling. So what do we know so far? New Moon is being released on March 20th and Eclipse is coming in June, as far as Breaking Dawn, I guess we will have to keep waiting.

The devastation that hit Haiti has touched the lives and hearts of all of us and we search desperately for any thing we can do to help.  The Twilight cast has also felt the pressure to help out and are using there well-deserved popularity to do their part.

Twitter pages have been buzzing all over about Haiti and the Twilight cast is using their Twitter accounts to reach out. Here are some of their Tweets:

  • Alex Meraz: My prayers go to the lives lost in haiti and for those clinging for help I’m researching websites so i can donate…

But I am wondering if maybe Rob’s contribution will make the most amount of money for Haiti. During the Golden Globes we learned that George Clooney was doing his own Hope for Haiti telethon to raise money for Haiti. Twilight Examiner reported that Rob has signed on to be a host for the London branch of the event, which is scheduled to air this Friday. I am sure Rob will have plenty of Twilighters who are eager to help rebuild Haiti. The show will air across all MTV channels 8-10 p.m. ET on Friday January 22nd.

Julia Jones Talks Wolfpack

JuliaRadar2

Eclipse introduces us to one of my favorite characters, Leah Clearwater. Leah is the only female member of the wolfpack and the only female werewolf. Recently we learned that Julia Jones would be playing Leah Clearwater in Eclipse and I for one am so excited to get any news from her. Radar online got an exclusive interview with Julia while she was in Los Angeles for her play Palestine, New Mexico.

Julia has already proven to be a sweetheart, the big sister to the wolfpack, but this interview really helps us understand her and the rest of the wolfpack. You can watch the movie on Radar Online it is really great interview. As a girl werewolf, many of us our wondering how you will be able to tell which wolf is Julia, I mean obviously Leah would never wear a pink bow. Julia says that there are a few characteristics that set her apart. For example her wolf is smaller then the other wolves, and it is also a light gray color.

Julia talks about how she and the wolfpack would spend their free time including hanging out in the food tent throwing food at each other and seeing who catch it in their mouth the best. We are all shocked, but apparently Taylor has the best aim. Also she said there was always a football handy for some Werewolf Football. But she also said they spend a lot of time just hanging around talking and getting to know each other.

In the second video, Julia and Radar reporter Alexis Tereszcuk did a little shopping for the New Moon cast and Julia told us a bit about there personalities. Apparently Bronson is the prankster on the set, the one who always starts the trouble.  In fact Julia said she had to set the record straight because she felt like the boys thought she found them annoying when in fact. She says “I think they boys thought I was angry at them for throwing things at me, but I love them!” Julia really did get to be the big sister on the set and hang out with the boys. With that great dynamic it will be interesting to see how it all plays out in Eclipse.

What do you think of Julia? Will she make a good Leah? Share your opinions with us!!

70,000 Twilighters Visit Forks

January 4, 2010 by Jessica

Did you go to Forks this year? Well so did about 69,999 of your friends. According to the Forks Forum and Chamber director Marcia Bingham 70,000 Twilighters signed the Forks guest book in 2009. Forks, Washington used to be a small logging town that got a few tourists a year for camping and hiking in the Hoh Rainforest. However, in 2009 tourism for Forks went up by almost 500 percent!! And that is all thanks to a family of bloodsucking vegetarians.

Stephenie Meyer has really reawakened and changed Forks. When you walk down the street that is downtown Forks you can’t help but notice Twilight, it is everywhere!! Every store has Twilight Products: the pharmacy has Bella’s first aid kit, the Locksmith has student ID’s and press badges, there are even whole stores that sell exclusively Twilight items. But don’t get me wrong Forks is still the hometown it has always been, the people who live there love it and they are so friendly. Most of them really love the Twilighters and what Stephenie Meyer has brought to their town. Some of them will even get into the action by pretending like the Cullens are really walking around. The Miller Tree Inn Bed and Breakfast that serves as the Cullen house actually will leave little notes signed by Esme for their guests.

Forks is an amazing town and a must have stop for all true Twilighters. We are just glad we could be a part of the big tourism boom. And we are all optimistic about 2010 as well “We’re going to beat this year,” Bingham predicted, looking ahead at 2010.

For all the great places to stop on any Forks trip, check out ExperienceTwilight.com. This site has all the locations described in the book, and a whole lot more!!
