RobSten- Really? This Again?

The rumors are flying again that America’s favorite “Oh we are not together” couple have finally come out in the open, again. Poor Rob and Kristen can’t be seen anywhere with out rumors of their secret affair. How did the latest rumors start? The incredibly unreliable Great Britain tabloid The Sun got the craze going again by writing an article about the BAFTA awards, where both the stars were in attendance. What a strange coincidence, that is if you forget the fact that Kristen actually was nominated for and won the Rising Star award and Rob was there as a presenter. Instead The Sun took a different approach on the matter, quoting Rob as saying:

“It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes.”

“We can’t arrive at the same time because of the fans. It goes crazy. This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it’s impossible. We are here together and it’s a public event but it’s not easy.

“We have to do all this stuff to avoid attention.”

Now all the Twi-fan sites can get enough, speculation is going crazy, and the rumors are again flying. Thanks Sun for relighting the spark, I am sure Kristen and Rob appreciate it.

Kristen’s Take on Eclipse Proposal

I will just start out by saying, anyone who has not read Eclipse yet should stop reading this post and head to their nearest bookstore because this post has some serious spoilers!!

Eclipse is the 3rd book and movie in the Twilight Saga. Due out in June, we are already hearing details about this action packed movie! Recently, MTV had a chance to talk to Kristen about Bella’s proposal to Edward in the end of Eclipse. Kristen hit the nail right on the head, stating that the proposal needed to be more then just 2 kids deciding to get married, “I wanted to be, like, ‘Oh! Wow! I would say yes too!’ You know what I mean? So I don’t know how you do that. You try to do it for real, and it felt good. I hope it turned out alright.” When you are reading the book and Bella proposes to Edward, this is exactly how you feel, you feel like Bella and Edward were ready to get married, both of them are old souls and marriage was definitely the next step. Here is a video of Kristen talking about the proposal:

Movie Trailers - Movies Blog

As great as it is, Bella’s proposal was not the only new news we have for Eclipse. All the stars are out talking about this movie and they all have plenty to say! Yahoo! got all the New Moon stars together to hear about how they felt about Eclipse and what there favorite part was. It was interesting to hear all their opinions about the movie as well as the different takes on it. Taylor shared his favorite scene: the tent scene, which he said was a blast to film. The wolfpack gave their comments about new pack member Leah Clearwater, played by Julia Jones. Apparently the wolfpack lived up to their mischievous nature and gave Julia a hard time on set. Check out the video here:

But lets not forget how intense Eclipse is either. There’s the love triangle between Jacob, Edward and Bella; then throw some newborn vamps into the mix and you have your self an action packed movie. David Slade, director for the movie, was tweeting up a storm along the way. Here is some of his tweets

“As we cut. Edward seems to be a really strong presence, the intensity of the love story & rivalry between Jacob is in the driving seat.”

“Working Sunday, battle sequences coming together, first half of film feeling very emotional, still early days.”

But even with out these informative tweets we would know how intense the movie is. In Twilight, twi-hards learned all about Edward and fall in love with him. In New Moon, Edward leaves and we get to learn about Jacob, the best friend who was always waiting in the shadows. Now with Eclipse we have both of these two guys, who hate each other by the way, both competing for Bella’s hearts, while working together to protect her.
Love triangle aside, we also have the newborn vampire army. Victoria, the nomad vampire is steal seeking revenge and she has recruited some help. Rachelle Lefevre was replaced in this movie by Bryce Dallas Howard and we are all excited to see what she can do. In an article with MTV, Bryce described the character of Victoria and her role in Eclipse, “Victoria is a wonderful character. … It’s awfully juicy to play a villain. To play someone that’s just evil; Victoria is evil. And I think with “Eclipse,” it ends with quite a huge battle, a big spectacle, and it’s very scary. It’s a very, very scary book and very terrifying set of circumstances, and I think the Cullens are in jeopardy in a way that they never really have been before. It was a really, really exciting world to be a part of, because it was so scary and the stakes were so high.”

BAFTA Awards Tonight

Tonight on BBC we have a double whammy of Twilight stars at the awards show presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. The lovely Rob Pattinson is scheduled to be a presenter and Kristen Stewart is nominated for the Orange Rising Star Award. There was rumors swirling and speculation about whether R-Pattz may be presenting the awards to Kristen. Well, not to spoil the ending for anyone, but my good friends at TwiFans.com posted this video of Kristen receiving the award and of her wonderfully clumsy acceptance speech. Check it out:

This award was voted on by the public, and with as big as the Twilight World is, it is not that suprising that Kristen won.

It is truly award show season and this is not the end of the road for Twilight stars. Kristen has already confirmed that she and Taylor would be presenting an award at the ceremony. Unfortunately Twilight is not nominated for anything, but Kristen and Taylor will still be there to represent.

Stay Tuned for more awards show news and all the latest gossip!

Breaking Dawn Official!!

It is official! Breaking Dawn will be filmed and it will be shot as two separate movies. For months the Twilight world has been a buzz with rumors about Breaking Dawn and its productions; the where, the when, the how. Unfortunately most of those questions still go unanswered, but here is what we do know.

Breaking Dawn has officially been green-lit, although there is no press release from Summit confirming this yet. But don’t worry too much about that, it also took them awhile to release press releases about the casting of Taylor Lautner and Bryce Dallas Howard. It will be split into 2 different films, the first of which is starting production in October of 2010. There is still no named director but all signs point to Gus Van Sant, who is currently filming a movie with Bryce Dallas Howard. As to the controversy of where it is being filmed, there is still no word, but Gus Van Sant is known for filming movies in Oregon, so that could be a clue!

However, not all the news is good news. Twilight stars Kristen Stewart, Rob Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner have not signed on to shoot the second half of Breaking Dawn yet and sources are saying they are no where close to an agreement. These stars are getting super famous and they are in high demand so there prices are going up. Especially Taylor Lautner, whose fees have gone up to 7.5 million!!

Hopefully we get more answers soon, but for now that is all I have for you! Casting for this production will start very soon and as soon as I know, I will share the info!

Are you glad it is being separated? Who do you think should play Reneesme? Share your opinions with us!!

Leverage Camp Update

So, last week I told you all about an acting camp that was going on down here in Portland for the show Leverage. That camp was this past weekend and all we are hearing is glowing reports about how well it went! In fact even the Oregonian paper was reporting about the action!

Leverage Boot Camp was a weekend long event that held classes teaching people about acting and how to get parts. There were specific camps focusing on the different acting parts, there was a Thug camp, a kids camp, teen camp, a behind the scenes camp, and a beginner camp. Each of these camps featured classes that were specific to the group. These classes included lessons, improv, Q and A’s, and so much more. It was truly an experience for anyone interested in acting. The biggest advantage to it was that it was actual movie makers and actors teaching these classes, so they knew what they were talking about and when they gave direction, you listened.

The camp was not just about having fun acting though, it was chance to grow more actors in our community. Lana Veenker, local casting director and organizer for the camp expressed her concerns in this quote from the Oregonian

“My worst fear,” Veenker says, “is that one day we find we’ve used up all the good actors in Portland.”

So they spend the weekend training acting hopefuls, and pushing them to there limit. I loved this story from a camper, Joe Chouinard 34 from Forest Grove, OR

In a Saturday afternoon session, acting coach Robert Blanche worked on a brief scene with Chouinard playing a detective who’s visiting a psychic.

The line was, “I’m embarrassed to be here,” and Chouinard sounded self-conscious saying it. Blanche asked whether the line felt authentic to him.

“I am embarrassed to be here,” Chouinard said. He’s nervous getting up in front of crowds, he said. “I thought I was going to be a thug, so I could come in and mug somebody.”

The others in the room laughed.

“You can use that,” Blanche said. “Use the fact you’re embarrassed about being here.”

Afterward, Chouinard said, “I did not expect to be acting at all. I just thought you had to come and be big and mean-looking.” A competitive bodybuilder, Chouinard is plenty big. But his large brown eyes are gentle, not mean.

“I have no delusions of grandeur,” he said. “I’m not going to replace Tim Hutton. But I could stand in the background, looking menacing.”

There are many more stories just like this one, but they all have the same conclusion, Leverage Boot Camp was more then successful, it was an experience they will never forget.

Kristen and Dakota Help Haiti

With the problems down in Haiti, everyone is banding together to do their part and extend help where ever they can. The stars have all got into action in various ways including the Hope for Haiti telethon and other charity events. Even down at the Sundance film Festival, charity events were going on. One of these money raising events is a snowboard that all the stars signed that is now up for sale online. The proceeds for this board go to the American Red Cross Haitian Relief Fund and it has been signed by SO many big stars, including Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart!

Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart were down at Sundance promoting their new movie The Runaways about the 70’s girl band featuring Joan Jett. Kristen had already participated in a auction that she and her team helped organize, they auctioned off a weekend at Sundance in the company of Kristen herself!

This snowboard is still up for grabs until February 23rd and so far it has only reached $550, which is a great deal for a board that is valued at $10,000. Would like a chance to take home this snowboard with signatures from not only Kristen and Dakota, but also Cheri Cherie, Khloe Kardashian, Mario Lopez, Stephanie Pratt, and so much more! If so, just go to CharityBuzz.com and place a minimum bid of $650, then keep your eyes on the auction and keep bidding! And just remember, the proceeds do go to help rebuild Haiti.

Leverage Boot Camp

Twilight isn’t the only fun that we have down here in Portland!! In fact lots of TV shows and movies are making their way to Oregon for filming. One of are biggest show is Leverage and it is one of my favorites!! Lana Veenker, one of the principal casting directors for Twilight, also casts this show and she is giving hopeful actors a chance to land key roles in this show, it is called Leverage Boot Camp, here are the details.

This weekend (Feb. 6th-7th) Lana Veenker’s is hosting Leverage Boot Camp through her educational division, Tools 4 Actors. Basically casting is going on for season 3 and many of the actors who played thugs and stuntmen are no longer eligible for roles in the show. So Lana and TNT have several different camps that are workshops that train potential actors on how to be stuntmen and thugs. Here are the camps:

*Thug Camp - 12 hours of instruction, plus 2 lunchtime Q&As

*Beginner Camp - 10 hours of instruction, plus 2 lunchtime Q&As ( + optional stunt class)

*Kid Camp - 6 hours of instruction, plus 1 lunchtime Q&A ( + optional parent class)

*Teen Camp - 6 hours of instruction, plus 1 lunchtime Q&A ( + optional parent class)

*Behind-the-Scenes Camp - 2 hours of instruction, plus 1 lunchtime Q&A ( + optional stunt class and/or additional lunchtime Q&A)

This is just a workshop to teach the skills and not an audition so participating does not guarantee a spot on the show, but it is still an amazing opportunity! for more information go to Lana’s Website or to the Boot Camp registration page. Good Luck!

Are you going to go to boot camp? Share the experience with us!!
