The last remaining section of the old Forks High School has been demolished. This is what it looked like during my visit in October:
There was a big effort to save the facade and use it as a sort of arched walkway to the new school, which would have been nice but they just weren’t able to raise the money. I blogged about it during my trip to Forks on my personal blog and I included a rendering of the facade I was sent by Don Grafstrom from Twilighters for Forks. You can see that post HERE.
Visit the Forks Forum to see short articles on the demolishing of Forks High School, A story of a man who was a student there during the attack on Pearl Harbor, and the recovery of a time capsule from behind the 1925 marker signifying the year the school was built. Most of these stories are still on the front page today.
