When New Moon was cast, there was lots of new characters to cast and we anxiously awaited the announcement. With Breaking Dawn, we are introduced to a whole swarm of new characters with the introduction of the new vampire clans! This will mean tons of new actors to welcome into the Twilight Family! The first of these is Rami Malek, who has been cast as Benjamin, a member of the Egyptian coven of Vampires. Most people remember Benjamin because he is a vampire with a special talent, he can manipulate the elements. He is one of Edwards best friends and described as being very good looking!

If you are thinking you know Rami from some where, you are probably right! As soon as I saw his picture I knew I recognized him! A quick Google search shows that Rami has been in many famous shows, in fact he just one an Emmy for his role as Merriell Shelton in the mini-series, The Pacific. He also played Ahkmenrah in Night at the Museum, which is what recognized him from!

I think he will make a good Benjamin! I always pictured him with boyish charm! But what do you guys think? Is the casting good? Who would you choose to play the role? Share your opinions with us!

Twilight is still the biggest money maker of all of them! Box office sales alone were $1.76 billion, and along with the more then $160 million from video sales, they have brought in more the $2 billion dollars. That doesn’t even factor in the money Summit has made from souvenirs, or from events.

With the TV Shows True Blood and Vampire Diaries, profit is a little bit harder to calculate because most of their money is made through branding, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, the networks expect $100 million-$125 million from Vampire Diaries and $50 million-$75 million from True Blood. But even their series DVD’s are selling millions of copies.

Now we have Breaking Dawn coming out, and new TV shows like the The Gates, to help bring in more money. And the more money that comes in just means the more vampires we get! And we won’t be complaining about that!

The award was given out by Rolling Stones In an Article of Best and Worst Vampires. Robert Pattinson was on the list as #10 Best Vampire, but the real story was Peter Facinelli’s character, Carlisle Cullen, winning #! Worst Vampire. Peter Travers, the journalist who wrote the article, stated:

Facinelli is a solid actor, but playing Carlisle Cullen, the white-haired head of the fang-challenged Cullen vampire family, he looks about as terrifying as Project Runway winner Austin Scarlett, whom Carisle closely resembles.

Well, Peter Facinelli has become quite popular on Twitter, so he took his response to his Twitter page.

….Thank you Mr. Travers. As Carlisle is a compassionate humanitarian, and anti-vampire in nature, being the worst Vampire was quite the compliment. Although, you had me at “solid actor”. I did find the comparison to Austin Scarlett utterly ridiculous though … He has way better cheek bones.

Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia- Set in the south the book focus on a high school kid named Ethan. Ethan meets a girl, Lena, who has been haunting his nightmares for months, like literally! Lena and her family superpowers, and her and Ethan quickly fall in love. With a similar feel as Twilight, this story is a journey through the love and turmoil of the young couple.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins- Just like in Twilight, these books are told through the point of view of a teenage girl. Set in the future, the United States has collapsed. Like in the days of the Gladiators, every year, 2 young students are chosen to participate in the Hunger Games where they fight to the death against each other. Basically, think of a reality show and turn it up a few notches!

Shiver series by Maggie Stiefvater- Jacob fans will love this book about a love between a teenage girl and a werewolf. When Grace realizes that the new boy is actually her wolf, their love becomes stronger, and much more complicated!

Now, I also have to recommend a book series I started reading after Twilight.-

The Blue Bloods series by Melissa de la Cruz- These books mix together all we know about vampires, angels, and even demons and create a completely new story! These books had me completely captivated, I couldn’t wait to read the next books! These books have all the intrigue of Twilight, peppered in with some aristocratic flavor!

I think it’s about her want, her need to be a mother, and this is the only opportunity she’s ever going to have, so she’s willing to let Bella die so she can have that and fulfill that, and that’s how I look at it. For anyone who has read the book, they know this sums it up exactly! In fact Jacob even asks if Rosalie was willing to sacrifice Bella for the baby, and although she never comes right out and says it, Rosalie makes her opinion very clear! The whole premise of Rosalie’s character is that she is jealous of the fact that Bella is a human, and she is mad because she doesn’t think Bella realizes all that she is giving up. So as much as Reneesme is Bella’s daughter, Rosalie is like her second mom and it is her chance to experience what it would have been like.

Most movie sequels flop, or at the very least, make less then their originals, this was not true with Twilight, with each movie new records are beat! however, with the release of Eclipse in june this year, it had to compete with all of the new hot summer movies and did not get as much playing time as the other to. In the summer of 2012, we are expecting the release of quite a few hot sequels, including Star Trek 2, Men in Black 3, Madagascar 3, and many more. Even though many of these movies would not really be a huge competition for Breaking Dawn, theaters would have to choose between it and other hot selling movies. i mean can you imagine owning a theater and having to choose between Breaking Dawn part 2 and Start Trek2? It would be nearly impossible. Movies have a minimum run time so theaters with only one screen, such as here in St. helens, have to guess which movie is going to sell more tickets, not just opening day, but for weeks to come. With Breaking Dawn Part 2 releasing in November, it is a slower time for movies and theaters can rune the movies longer, even extending them if necessary.

So as much as it is a pain to wait, in the long run, having it that way works out better for the theaters, and for us. Hopefully the wait won’t be too agonizing!!

People like to make fun of the fans who camp out but people have renaissance faires; people do Civil War reenactments; people do what they like,’ Kendrick said. ‘I’m tired of hearing people rag on the fans. If you don’t like ‘Twilight,’ don’t buy a ticket.

Couldn’t have said it better ourselves! As a fan, it is nice to hear a cast member sticking up for us. We like Twilight, and feel there is nothing wrong with that, so we are gonna just keep having fun! Thank you so much Anna!
