Melissa Rosenberg talks Eclipse Script
So the opinion of the new Twilight movie. Eclipse is that it was much better then New Moon, both character and plot wise. in an interview with the Collider, Melissa Rosenberg, Twilight screenwriter, explained why.
All three of the already released Twilight movies have had different directors: Catherine Hardwicke-Twilight, Chris Weitz-New Moon, and David Slade-Eclipse. Each different director has their own style and vision, and they all utilized Melissa in different ways. Because New moon and Eclipse were so close to each other, she didn’t have much time to talk to Chris Weitz before handing in the script and moving on. However, with Eclipse, Melissa and David Slade were able to talk more about his vision, plus Melissa was still in Twilight mode! She was able to simply focus on Eclipse with out having to jump around to different projects. Because of this dedication she was able to really get into the characters and immerse in the Twilight world! Well done Melissa, we were impressed!
Hidden New Moon Easter Egg’s

With Chris Weitz as the new director for New Moon, we all expected some changes. In this case I think we all can say those changes were good, his CGI was amazing and he really helped bring the characters to life. But that’s not all he did, Chris also added some hidden surprises in the movie exclusively for the real die hard twihards!! We have heard rumor about these “Easter Egg’s”, first from Taylor Lautner, and now there is even an iTunes app that reveals the five Easter Eggs. But don’t rush off and go spend your money, Twilighters, TwilightBlogs has the scoop!!
1. Hidden Wolves- New moon is all about the wolves so should we really be that surprised the Chris Weitz hid some through out the movie? Next time you watch, look a little more carefully and you may spot the wolves. There is an upside-down engraving of a wolf in the shot of the bowl in which Carlisle burns his first-aid equipment, one on Jacob’s T-shirt when he meets Bella in the school parking lot in the beginning of the movie, and a wolf trinket on the dream-catcher that Jacob gives to Bella.
2. Volturi Elevator Music- Remember the scene where Jane and her Volturi posse are taking Edward, Bella, and Alice to see Aro and they are riding in the elevator? In the background you can hear music playing. That music is from Strauss’ Die Fledermaus (a.k.a. The Bat).’
3. Chris Weitz Baggage- In the scene where Bella goes looking for the meadow and finds Laurent, there is a Golden Compass clipped to her backpack, homage to Chris Weitz own baggage.
4. Speed Trick- One of the things we love about the vampires is they are super fast. In the scene after Bella’s birthday party when Edward is driving her home, Edward demonstrates that speed when he opens the car door for Bella. But how did Rob, not being a vampire, actually do that? A little movie magic. They put Rob right next to the camera but out of sight, and used a double dressed like Rob in the driver’s seat. When Edward gets out, it’s the double, and then Rob steps in front of the camera, and it looks as if he got there faster than humanly possible.
5. What Did Jacob Say?!- Number 5 is still up for debate, or at least it is in my mind. By now we all know and have talked about the scene where Jacob whispers sweet Quileute nothings into Bella’s ear but what exactly he says is a mystery. All Chris Weitz will tell us is “Ask a Quileute.” Well, the people at the Forks store Dazzled by Twilight did and the storyteller Morgonroth says that Jacob said “kwopkalawo’li” (pronunced quo-p-kah-lah-WOH-oh-lee) which means I love you in Quileute. Full Volturi Cast Stills
New Moon is sure to be amazing! Not only do we love though already exciting Cullen cast, but now we are joined by some new vampires, vampires evil enough to excite! Yahoo Movies has stills show some pictures from New moon that may look familiar but they are also showing the first collection of pictures of the full Volturi cast.
The pictures are amazing and the Volturi looks perfect. You can tell Chris Weitz really choice the right people for these roles. They are all beautiful in their own frightening way, just as we always imagined them to be. Check out the pictures here then tell us what you think!
The Volturi Castle
The Volturi Vampires are the ultimate villians of the story. They have the looks, the wealth; and of course, awesome vampire powers. So taking these Vampires from the pages of New Moon and putting them into a movie is no easy task. You need a great cast (Dakota Fanning and Michael Sheen), A great Director (Chris Weitz), and amazing sets. Well now we can get a little sneak peak at the amazing sets used to bring this to life.
Today, I have pictures of the Volturi Castle, the dark castle that the Volturi Coven has made their home. This set is going to play a pivotal part in the movie because this is where one of the biggest scenes take place. The sets have to be big, beautiful, and unlike anything else.

The video explains it all but in case you didn’t catch it, The First one is a picture of Bella taking direction from Chris Weitz after being protected by Edward at her Birthday party. The second is a picture of Bella and Laurent, and the last is a intimate picture between Edward and Bella. I am not going to spoil it but anyone who has read the book should know exactly what these pictures are.
Exciting huh? The scenes look beautiful and it is just a glimpse at how wonderful the movie is going to be. What scene are you most looking forward to?
New Moon Makeovers
Because Twilight was a low budget, indie film, the effects and design were not as good as they could have been. Now with New Moon, Chris Weitz has a bigger budget he can spend on creating the perfect look for Twilight. Already we learned that Edward was going to sparkle better in New Moon, but that is not the only change.
In a Interview with Nikki Reed, who plays Rosalie, Nikki revealed some other changes that were going to take place to create a better look. She says that the vampires will look more naturally unnatural and that she will be wearing a wig instead of undergoing days of hair dye.
There are other promises of things that will change, but for the most part the filmmakers are trying to keep it hush-hush so as not to blow the story.

Jacob and his Wolfpack?
UPDATE: According to Stephenie Meyer’s website the wolfpack is officially confirmed, everyone except for Emily. There is no word about her yet, but hopefully soon. Here is the announcement from Stephenie’s site.
Los Angeles, CA — March 23, 2009 — Summit Entertainment announced today that Native American/First Nation actors Chaske Spencer, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Tyson Houseman have signed on to star as the members of the wolf pack in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON. In the film, the wolf pack defends humans against vampires although they have a tribal history intricately entwined with Edward Cullen and his family. The wolf pack members will join Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and fellow wolf pack member Taylor Lautner in the film directed by Chris Weitz which will be released domestically November 20, 2009.
In THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). Each member of the wolf pack is of Native decent. Filming for New Moon starts next week and there is still no confirmation of who will play Sam, Seth or the rest of Jacob’s werewolf pack. However, recently Chris Weitz was spotted taking Taylor Lautner and a group of male actors out to lunch in Vancouver. The actors were Bronson Pelletier; who was said to be joining the cast when it was posted on his agents website, Tyson Houseman; who we don’t know much about but is famous for theatre work, and lastly Alex Meraz; who is another fighter like Taylor Lautner. There is no confirmation from Summit about any of them but it seems fairly likely since it has been confirmed on their agents websites.
UPDATE: There is more evidence floating around that this is the wolf cast and also who is playing Emily and the rest of the cast. This is the best place for pics and info that I have found. I think that Sam is perfect!! Again none of this is confirmed by Summit.

Vampire (and Human) Bonding Time
The production of New Moon is underway and new director Chris Weitz is already off to a great start. During their first week in Vancouver Weitz took all the cast out to dinner for some good bonding time for cast old and new. The general manager said they appeared to be having a good time and that they were very down to earth and polite. What fun that must have been!!
Casting Finished for New Moon?!
According to the website Live PR.com casting director Joseph Middleton has stated that casting for New Moon is complete. No official list has been posted and no word as for who is playing who, but hopefully that news is coming soon.
On that note, rumors are flying about who is directing the third installment, Eclipse, even rumors that Drew Barrymore may be directing?? That seems unlikely. However there is a more likely rumor floating around stating that Chris Weitz brother Paul Weitz is actually going to direct, that seems much more likely. Release Date for Eclipse
The release date for the third Twilight movie has been released and confirmed as being June 30 2010, which will be very soon after New Moon. All of the actors have been confirmed to be continuing including Rob Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner! However there is supposed to be another director switch. Apparently because of the timing Chris Weitz won’t be available to direct the third installment, he will still be in post-production for New Moon. No word about who will be the next director but I will keep you posted.
