Vampires Bring the Cash to Hollywood!

Everyone knows how hot the Twilight movies are, but they aren’t the only vampires who are bringing in the cash. Between Twilight, True Blood, Vampire diaries, and all the other vampires in the biz, Hollywood has found its new gold mine.

Twilight is still the biggest money maker of all of them! Box office sales alone were $1.76 billion, and along with the more then $160 million from video sales, they have brought in more the $2 billion dollars. That doesn’t even factor in the money Summit has made from souvenirs, or from events.

With the TV Shows True Blood and Vampire Diaries, profit is a little bit harder to calculate because most of their money is made through branding, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, the networks expect $100 million-$125 million from Vampire Diaries and $50 million-$75 million from True Blood. But even their series DVD’s are selling millions of copies.

Now we have Breaking Dawn coming out, and new TV shows like the The Gates, to help bring in more money. And the more money that comes in just means the more vampires we get! And we won’t be complaining about that!

And the Winners Are…

So the Teen Choice Awards were on last night, and no big surprise, Twilight rocked the house!! It was a fun show, hosted by Katy Perry and the Glee Guys, they kept the audience and viewers very entertained. Plus it helps that the night was filled with all of our favorite stars, including Sandra Bullock and Betty White! I was actually really pleased to see Hilary Duff, there, she has been out of the scene for awhile and would love to see her jump back in! But there was no one we were more excited to see then most of the members of the Twilight cast! Unfortunately, Kristen Stewart is on the road filming her new movie, On the Road, but we were all pleasantly surprised to see Taylor Lautner.  Previously it was reported that Taylor wouldn’t make it back in time do to filming on his new movie Abduction, but seeing as how he one tons of awards last night, I think it was a good thing he showed up!

Twilight won a total of 13 surfboards between them, which basically means they won everything they were nominated for!! They even one Fanatic Fans, which really is not all that shocking! Taylor brought home Choice Hottie, Best Smile, and pretty much any other award that could point out how attractive he was! Ashley Greene won scene stealer, along with her co-star Kellan Lutz! Kristen Stewart even one an award for Choice Summer Movie star even without being there!

All and all it was a good show, even if Twilight hadn’t totally dominated!! If you missed last nights show, here are a few clips of our favorite cast winning some awards!!

Kirsten Prout Interview

Kirsten Prout is most famous for her role as Amanda in Kyle XY but lately she has made her way into the Twilight World thanks to her small role in Eclipse. Kirsten plays Lucy, one of the 3 vampires responsible for turning and training Jasper. INSPIRE Magazine was able to get an interview with her and talk about her experience working on the set and interacting with the rest of the Twilight cast!

This is definitely not Kirsten’s first role (You may also recognize her from Elektra with Jennifer Garner). In fact this is actually a much smaller role then she was used to, but when she hear it was Twilight, well really how could she say no? Twilight is definitely one of those roles that can help a performers career take off! And plus, she got to work with Jackson Rathbone!

He was so wonderful, an absolute southern gentleman. Sitting down at lunch alone, my first day meeting anyone, I was thrilled when he just plopped down next to me and spent the afternoon getting to know me. He’s so talented, and such a dedicated artist. Jackson is an extremely friendly and authentic person.

Of course we are not at all surprised to hear that! But working on Twilight also means dealing with tons of fans and paparazzi! Lucky for Kirsten she said that the cast was also very friendly and welcoming, so it is not like she had to face it alone!

I didn’t have a lot of expectations other than the cast being extremely closed off and the set absolutely swamped with paparazzi. In terms of the cast, I was completely wrong. They are such wonderful inclusive people. When it comes to paparazzi, nothing prepares you for being hunted by cameras. Definitely a strange feeling.

Kirsten will soon be starring in the sequel to MTV’s My Super Psycho Sweet 16 and my guess is that with her new fan base, the movie will be well received! One thing about Twilight fans is we are fiercly loyal and have a ton of respect for anyone on the Twilight cast! So, even if it was a small role, this is a role that is sure to throw tons more attention to this wonderful actress!

Twilight at Teen Choice Awards

Twilight is so hugely popular that it is really not that much of a surprise anymore when they are nominated for any awards. So hearing all the nominations for the Teen Choice Awards only confirms for us how awesome they are! Twilight is nominated for 17 different awards and they are sure to take most, if not all of them home. I mean, so far Twilight has done amazing at previous fan voted awards shows. Taylor Lautner Gets Teased

One of the funniest lines in Eclipse is when Edward asks Bella if Jacob even owns a shirt-

But apparently the teasing wasn’t limited to just on camera. Taylor confesses in an interview on Mirror.com that he was often teased on the set by his fellow castmates-

Everybody teases me about the shirtless thing and my little jean shorts. It’s all good, though.

Taylor doesn’t take it to seriously and continues the article talking about what it was like on set and his love of American Idol. The part that I think girls are really going to love though is when they asked Taylor if he is romantic. he revealed that he can be in the talk for hours telling stories way. Sounds great huh ladies?

Fame hasn’t gone to Taylor’s head as he talks about how fun it is to meet the fans and what a great platform Twilight has been. It is good to hear that Taylor is so down to Earth and still such a nice guy!

Melissa Rosenberg talks Eclipse Script

So the opinion of the new Twilight movie. Eclipse is that it was much better then New Moon, both character and plot wise. in an interview with the Collider, Melissa Rosenberg, Twilight screenwriter, explained why.

All three of the already released Twilight movies have had different directors: Catherine Hardwicke-Twilight, Chris Weitz-New Moon, and David Slade-Eclipse. Each different director has their own style and vision, and they all utilized Melissa in different ways.  Because New moon and Eclipse were so close to each other, she didn’t have much time to talk to Chris Weitz before handing in the script and moving on. However, with Eclipse, Melissa and David Slade were able to talk more about his vision, plus Melissa was still in Twilight mode! She was able to simply focus on Eclipse with out having to jump around to different projects. Because of this dedication she was able to really get into the characters and immerse in the Twilight world! Well done Melissa, we were impressed!

Jackson Rathbone Interview

Between his new movie The Last Airbender, his amazing backstory in Eclipse, and his successful music career with 100 Monkeys, Jackson Rathbone has certainly been making his name in the news lately. This is a great interview where Jackson not only talks about his movies but he also plays a bit of guitar for us! So here you go all you Team Jasper fans out there!

Eclipse Review

Wow it has been a busy week! Here at our Experience Twilight store not only have we been having all the premiere events but also we have met so many fans from all over the world. Thanks to everyone who visited us!! I hope you had a good time!

Well, now that I have seen the movie (twice actually) I wanted to give my review! Be warned, this post may contain spoilers! I assume that all of you have seen it by now, but if you haven’t step away from the computer and go see it now! It was that good! Of course, anything that has to do with Twilight is good, but I have to say I was a tad disappointed with New Moon, I thought it was good, but not enough to go see it a million times, like I did with Twilight! But Eclipse was completely different! I loved it and I want to go see it many more times! Eclipse had all the romance we want, but at the same time was not skimpy on the action scenes. We even got to see a touch of the Twilight humor that we missed in the first 2. My favorite scene was definitely the Jasper training session.

Of course, there were parts that were left out that we missed, I was sad not to see the scene where Alice and Jasper first meet at the restaurant. But I was glad to see all the little details that were left in, like Bella’s bracelet. We also got to see Rosalie and Jasper’s story which was awesome! We missed Alice’s story in the first one and I know a lot of fans were disappointed with Carlisle’s sort of story in New Moon.  But Eclipse did a great job, and i have to say seeing Rosalie in her wedding dress with red eyes was awesome!

I have had some time to think about whether Eclipse is my favorite of all the movies and here is what I decided. The plot and humor was so much better in Eclipse then the other movies, and it by far made up for the disappointment over New Moon, but was it better then Twilight? No, see nothing can beat the rush Twilight created. That first experience with Twilight was amazing because it took us all by surprise. With the sequels, we are already expecting greatness, but with Twilight we were amazed by how much we liked it.  That is the part that can’t be re-lived.

All and all, Eclipse had its ups and downs but I would still give it a 10. How about you? What did you think of the movie? Did it sink or float in your mind? Share your opinions with us!

Jackson Rathbone talks Eclipse

Eclipse is coming out in 15 days and we are SOOOO excited! There is so much good stuff to look forward to in Eclipse that we don’t even know where to start the list! One of the things we are excited about is Jasper’s backstory. Jasper Whitlock Hale has one of the most adventurous stories of the Cullen Clan, he lived a pretty wild life before and after he was turned. Who better to tell us a bit about Jasper then the actor who plays him? Check out this interview with Jackson Rathbone!
