Breaking Dawn Part 1

So there has been some debate about where the 2 parts of Breaking Dawn will be split. *WARNING- IF YOU HAVEN’T READ THE BOOKS THIS POST WILL DEFINITELY CONTAIN SPOILERS*

Bill Condon has been chosen as the new director for the Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn and him and the rest of the Summit team have decided that Breaking Dawn has enough content for 2 movies. I am super excited about this because that means that we get more Twilight for longer! However, fans are wondering where the break is going to be. If you have read the books you know that Stephanie Meyer actually breaks the book up in 2 different places. The first one is right after she finds out she is pregnant. This is where Jacob takes over and starts retelling the story from his point of view. So they could easily break the movie up here. The problem with that is that basically we would hear the whole first story all over again! plus, it would be kind of anti-climatic. There would be no real climax in the first half.

The second break is right after Reneesme is born. After she is born Bella gets turned, by Edward. Oh and Jacob imprints on Reneesme.  But then the 1st half ends and in the next half we would get to see the first moments of Bella being a vampire. It would better because the climax would be the pregnancy and all the drama that comes with it. However, if they break it there, we will have to wait at least 6 months until we see Reneesme and Bella as a vamp, and that would be hard to wait!

Quileute Indian Muesum Exhibit

The Quileute indians have been a part of our culture for years and Twilight has been helping put them back into the spotlight. As most Twilighters know the Quileutes Indians play an important part of the Twilight Series. The Wolf pack is completely made up of Quileute indians, including Jacob.

In truth, the Twilight Series gets a lot of things wrong in terms of the history of the tribe. Their stories are actually much different and very beautiful, definitely worth researching. Their is a new exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum from August 14, 2010–August 14, 2011.

Here is a description of the Exhibit from Barbara Brotherton, Curator of Native American Art:

The wolf is central to the cultural beliefs of the Quileute Native Peoples of coastal Washington, and wolf imagery is prominent in their art forms. According to oral traditions, the first Quileute were changed from wolves by the Transformer, Kwati; those ancestral beginnings figure significantly in the Quileute world view, even today.

For better or worse, the Quileute were thrust into a media firestorm with the publication of the Twilight books and the release of the first Twilight movies. Because the Quileute were not consulted, their “wolf origins” were misrepresented, and in the books and films they have been portrayed as sexed-up teen werewolves. This has precipitated unwanted visitors to their territory (in the thousands!).

This exhibition consisting of about 30 objects seeks to provide a public platform for the display and interpretation of art works that represent Quileute wolf mythology specifically, and also the larger sphere of their beliefs about spirituality and transformation. As was true for the Coast Salish prior to SAM’s 2008–09 exhibition S’abadeb, there have been no prior exhibitions of Quileute art. Although this exhibition will be modest, these carefully chosen works will reveal aspects of Quileute art history, style and meaning.

2nd New Moon Trailer

The second New Moon trailer has been officially release by Summit and it is so good!! I am so excited I can barely type this!! Check it out!!!

Looks like we are going to get to see a lot more of Jacob in New Moon!!! I can’t wait!!

New Moon Released with New Cover

Jacob fans everywhere, prepare to be amazed. New Moon has been re-released with a new cover that is going to make you want to swoon. Just like when they re-did the Twilight cover, this cover features the cast of New Moon as Bella and Jacob, and it is fantastic. EW.com is asking fansites not to post the whole image but to link back to their site instead so I will respect their wishes, but click this link and head over to EW and check it out for yourself.

Like I said the cover is brilliant, but that is just my opinion, what do you think? Are you going to buy a new copy just to have the free poster?

Michael Copon on Taylor Lautner as Jacob

For those of you that have been actively following the Twilight Aeries, you may remember Michael Copon, the actor who was supposedly slated to be replacing Taylor Lautner. If you remember Michael Copon had posted on his Facebook Page that he had gotten the role as Jacob.
Well recently Reelz Channel caught up with him at the premiere for “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past” and they asked him about these and whether or not this was true. Here is what he had to say about it:

I asked him if that was real or rumor, and he told me it was 100% true. It was a tense back-and-forth during casting, but we all know who got the role in the end. Copon told me he really, really wanted to get the role, but that he is happy for Lautner: “There are no hard feelings between Taylor and me — we are friends.”

So what do you think, were the rumors true or was it the work of a good agent? Are you glad Taylor was chosen for the role or are you still holding hoped that Michael Copon will make a comeback?

Taylor Lautner’s Motorcycle Lessons

Anybody that has read New Moon knows that there is a central storyline involving Jacob Black and Motorcycles that has to be in the movie. Well fear not Twilighters, you will get your wish. Jacob’s Volkswagen Rabbit

One of the coolest things about Jacob is what brings Bella to him in the first place, he fixes cars. A key car from New Moon is Jacob’s 1986 VW Rabbit and we think it has been found. Recently pictures have been floating around of the supposed set for Jacob and Billy Black’s house. Parked outside of this house is 1986 VW Rabbit, which leads us to believe that this is Jacob’s. Demi Lovato for Twilight?

It seems like anyone who is someone big in Hollywood, or anyone who wants to be big in Hollywood is fighting for there chance to be in the Twilight sequel New Moon. The latest rumor is that upcoming Disney Star Demi Lovato would like to write a song for New Moon. She says “Edward Cullen — I would write a love song to him, Or Jacob Black!” I wonder what kind of song she would write for them? It would be interesting to hear.

Kristen Excited about Taylor

We are all so excited about Taylor Lautner staying for New Moon as Jacob Black. But what is really important is how Kristen Stewart feels about the man playing her best friend. In an article with MTV Kristen Stewart expressed her delight in Taylor Lautner staying on. She is quoted as saying:

“Yeah, absolutely,” Stewart said. “I’m so glad they didn’t have to find somebody else; we already had him! I didn’t understand all the deliberation on [whether to bring him back]. But now that it’s set, we can all rest.

She is also as impressed with his new buff bod as we are:

“He’s really buff!” she exclaimed of Lautner, who’s packed on nearly 30 pounds of muscle so far to prepare for Jacob’s werewolf growth spurt. “He definitely is. It took him a lot of time.
