Nikki Reed Talks Rosalie in Breaking Dawn

It is no real surprise that the the feelings between Bella and Rosalie are not exactly friendly, but that completely changes in Breaking Dawn! *Spoiler Alert* When Bella finds out she is pregnant, Rosalie becomes her guardian, the one person who really supports Bella’s decision to have Reneesme. Nikki Reed has been playing Rosalie Hale in all of the movies, and so far she has done a great job and showing how much rosalie dislikes Bella. Not she needs to do a 180 in her character, which means that Nikki Reed needs to have an understanding of Rosalie’s progression throughout the book. Twilighters are gonna expect Niki to really understand Rosalies passion and they won’t settle for any thing less. But, of course, we have nothing to worry about! from the sounds of her interview with MTV, Nikki Reed knows what the fans want!

“I think that Rosalie just always wanted to be a mom, and that’s how I look at it . . . It has nothing to do with being pro-life or anything. I think it’s about her want, her need to be a mother, and this is the only opportunity she’s ever going to have, so she’s willing to let Bella die so she can have that and fulfill that, and that’s how I look at it. It’s her own personal desires,” she explained.

For anyone who has read the book, they know this sums it up exactly! In fact Jacob even asks if Rosalie was willing to sacrifice Bella for the baby, and although she never comes right out and says it, Rosalie makes her opinion very clear! The whole premise of Rosalie’s character is that she is jealous of the fact that Bella is a human, and she is mad because she doesn’t think Bella realizes all that she is giving up. So as much as Reneesme is Bella’s daughter, Rosalie is like her second mom and it is her chance to experience what it would have been like.

Bella and Rosalie Clip

Nikki Reed, the actress who plays Rosalie Hale, was on Ellen the other day and she shared with us another clip from Eclipse. Unfortunately I had the hardest time trying to find it!! Finally though, MTV posted it on their website. It is pretty awesome! Check it out!

LA Times Interview with the Cullens

Anyone of us would love a chance to sit down with the actors and ask them all our questions, while LA TImes had the chance and got this great interview. All of the Cullens, except Rob who was busy shooting Bel Ami, took some time to tell us what we can expect from their characters in Eclipse.

In Eclipse, The Vampires and the Werewolves band together to defend Bella and the rest of the humans from an army of newborn vampires. With this battle looming we are able to learn a little bit more about each of the Cullens and see their characters develop.

Peter Facinelli plays Carlisle Cullen, recently named the richest fictional character and patriarch of the Cullen house. He is the vampire that makes us all change our minds about whether vampires are good or evil. On how Carlisle will be different in this movie, Peter told us this:”Carlisle is very compassionate and he has a lot of killing to do in this movie. I joke, after he kills the bad guys, he says he’s sorry in his head.He’s the rock of the family. He usually has a lot of information to draw from because Alice can see into the future and Edward can read minds. In this third movie, he’s not getting that information. Neither one of his sources are working, so he’s kind of flying blind.”

Elizabeth Reaser plays Esme Cullen, who although we don’t know much about her she still feels like a mom to all of us. On her character Elizabeth states: “It was interesting to get in touch with the vampire side of her in ways that haven’t really been explored. Her family is in danger and that brings out the mama bear in her.”

Ashley Green IS Alice Cullen, no one could have played the part better. But even sweet Alice is going to be showing a darker side in Eclipse: “Yeah, she’s delicate and prissy at times, but Alice gets a little edgier with each installment. And with these vampires messing with her family and the people she loves, you’re going to see a bit of her toughness. You’re going to see the dark, dangerous side of Alice.”

Kellan Lutz who plays Emmett has the ability to make girls swoon while at the same time remain Rosalie’s monkey man. How will the character of Emmett be in Eclipse? Not much different!: “You’re going to see a smile on Emmett’s face from start to finish. He just loves to fight. And there’s a lot of fighting.”

Jackson Rathbone plays Jasper Cullen, who has remained pretty quite through the other two movies. For those who have read the book they know that Eclipse is supposed to tell us more about Jasper’s past, will that be in the movie?: “You’ll get to see a little bit of the root of what makes Jasper so withdrawn and quiet in the Cullen family. Fans will get some of Jasper’s back story in ‘Eclipse.’ I got to wear the whole Civil War gear and everything.” Yahh!! We are very excited to see that!

Speaking of Rosalie, Actress Nikki Reed shared some info about her character and how Rosalie has changed in the third installment:”You see a reason for her attitude. I think fans will feel for her. This time around, she is much more of a participant. She’s a survivor. This is her family. So if protecting Bella means protecting her family, she’s going to do it.”

New Moon Makeovers

Because Twilight was a low budget, indie film, the effects and design were not as good as they could have been. Now with New Moon, Chris Weitz has a bigger budget he can spend on creating the perfect look for Twilight. Already we learned that Edward was going to sparkle better in New Moon, but that is not the only change.
In a Interview with Nikki Reed, who plays Rosalie, Nikki revealed some other changes that were going to take place to create a better look. She says that the vampires will look more naturally unnatural and that she will be wearing a wig instead of undergoing days of hair dye.
There are other promises of things that will change, but for the most part the filmmakers are trying to keep it hush-hush so as not to blow the story.
